Second part of the special featuring Bos the Minotaur, from Cryptida.
In my setting there's no godlike translator AI. Instead, the Taladaar bio-engineered a living species, the Darthi, to be the universal translator and interpreter - and I mean, universal. They probably are endowed with limited telepathy that allows them to grasp any language, can communicate by sound, smell, light, heat and electromagnetic impulse. The collateral issue their creators could never solve: there's no polite way to make them shut up. (Death threats, if violent enough, sometimes work.) XD

It is a good idea to leave before Bos sees that roast beef on your plate.

Of course they did.
He's not the only lifeform they've met that has hooves. I guess their clothing department is ready for everything.
(Glad you liked it! :D)

Eww gross "communicating by smell"?
If an alien that could do that met me, I would be disintegrated on the spot!!!
But maybe we would just end up exchanging "*morse-code farts". LOL!
Morse Code - Wikipedia
OMG! look what I found on the internet! I can't believe it exists!
Fart Coder Type a word or short phrase and press 'Play Tap Code' or 'Play Morse Code' to translate into farts.

Don't worry, they're just his possible means of communication. Humans don't understand smells, so he uses them mostly to speak with the appropriate aliens. Or dogs.

His face as he happily prances around with that backpack, omg :'D *dead*
Also, I only just noticed the boots. So. Freaking. Cool! *O* And hey, the interpreter might talk a lot, but those language skills could be very helpful in the future :D another wonderful (and absolutely hilarious) page!

The Darthi interpreters are useful, but maybe more to a diplomat than a soldier.
