Julian likes fantasy comics. So he's collecting The Adventures of Sir Power, by Zero Hour.
Julian has a girlfriend.
Julian's girlfriend is Italian (Skadhi is a Martian colony full of Italian-speaking citizens).
Julian's girlfriend is also sort of a wannabe witch. And wary.
The painting on the wall is "Sea Flower", one of my sister's.
Worlbuilding detail a lot of people wouldn't notice, but I feel pedantic today: no communication delay between Earth and Mars. I don't think a galactic empire would last without easily accessible subspace communication technology. I could handwave it, but my brain actually keeps me awake at night thinking about how to bypass the laws of physics without actually breaking them.

Oh, yes. I think even centuries in the future, some people will still like to fill a library with things they like. So, there are downloadable single issues, and collector's editions. They have holo-everything else, so why not? :D

I'm afraid the Italian version isn't equally inspired, but no one ever reads THAT.
